For a few years now, the public figure known as Xander Corvus aka Mychael has made it known via his social media that his father is of African American heritage – however though Xander is multiracial is he really “Black”? From Alex Mayers’ perspective though Xander may genetically be Black, she doesn’t feel that someone who has the ability to conceal their African heritage (pass) truly understands what it is to be a Black African American. In this commentary, Alexandra shares portions of what’s one of the most important chapters of the book and touches on why it’s important to understanding how being victimized by sex trafficking and how enduring the abuse linked to sex trafficking can lead to sexworkers exhibiting racism.

In this commentary, Alexandra reviews recent news revolving around the pornography industry which essentially proves Shelley Lubben’s statement about pornography being sex trafficking as accurate.

In addition, Alexandra shares some advice for parents in regards to not instilling feelings insecurity into their children – as it’s the elements of negative self image and low self esteem which often lead a young person into the adult entertainment industry (as the industry offers a false sense of validation via negative attention).
