Alex Mayers makes it clear that Hawk Newsome of Black Lives Matter does NOT speak for her, her family or many other African Americans. Alex explains that whether Hawk realizes it or not, his claim that “Blacks don’t trust politicians” sounds ill thought because the reality is he’s positioned HIMSELF as a politician (so is he in actuality suggesting the people he claims to represent not trust him?).

It was recently reported that a group of former police officers in Long Beach, California were allegedly utilizing a Facebook group to “openly plot” to kill Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King. Ironically shortly after the report hit mainstream media, one of the former police officers who was a part of the alleged group after King, accidentally shot himself.

As of June 26, 2020 Shaun has made national news headlines in regards to an alleged group of Long Beach former police officers who were supposedly “openly plotting” to kill him on Facebook – supposedly in part due to push to Defund the Police (which Alex Mayers does NOT think is a good idea).
